Concerning a meeting of analysts


On the 27th of September 2016, CARICC hosted a meeting among officers of the Information and Analytical Division of the Centre and the UNODC consultant, Mr. Vyacheslav Aviutsky, who is conducting survey as part of preparation of the draft report on illicit trafficking of Afghan opiates along the ‘Northern’ route, which is a continuation of the UNODC report for 2012 “Opiates Trafficking through the Territory of Northern Afghanistan and Central Asia: Threat Assessment”.

Attendance of CARICC IAD officer in the inter-regional training seminar


As part of the UNODC Regional Programme for Afghanistan and Neighboring Countries, the Global Programme on “Strengthening Capacities of States to Prevent and Combat Serious Offenses and Crimes of a Transnational Nature”, and the Global Programme against Cybercrime, an officer of CARICC Information and Analytical Division attended a three-day inter-regional training seminar for law enforcement officers and prosecutors on “Identification and Investigation of Crimes in the field of Information Technology”, from 20 to 22 September 2016, in Almaty.

Concerning joint meeting in CARICC facilities


On the 19-20th of September, CARICC hosted a joint meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, INL Section of the U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan, the US DEA Office in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the OSCE Program Office in Astana.

REGULAR TRAINING IN THE ORGANIZATION OF PROFILING AT CHECKPOINTS

 

From 12 to 16 September 2016, International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Section of the U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with the OSCE Office in Astana with the participation of instructors from CARICC and support of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan (RoK NSC BS) held the fourth training in Zhambyl region of the Republic of Kazakhstan for officers of border control authorities of RoK NSC BS in organizing of profiling at checkpoints.

Operational meeting on the use of customs data in risk profiling using information systems

On August 16-18, 2016, the International Narcotics Control Board in cooperation with the UNODC Regional Programme for Afghanistan and Neighboring Countries organized an operational meeting in the Vienna International Centre (VIC) on the use of customs data in risk profiling using information systems.
