CARICC - is a Regional Platform of the competent authorities to exchange experiences

Since the beginning of the formation of CARICC as a unique anti-drug structure,  Center has been actively used by various projects and programs of multiple international organizations and countries as an universal regional platform for the exchange of positive experience by competent authorities and organizations in combating drug trafficking.

Thus, from 22 to 25 April 2014, the Centre hosted a workshop on the analysis and exchange of information in the fight against drug trafficking, organized by the European Union’s Project “Information Networks along the Heroin Route – II” jointly with the EU-UNDP Programme “Border Management in Central Asia” (BOMCA).
This workshop was aimed at studying the positive experience of the competent authorities and international organizations of Central Asia, the Caucasus and Europe in two important aspects in the fight against drug trafficking, which traditionally include a mechanism for exchanging information, including using secure communication channels and methods of operational analysis on specific targets and areas.
During the meeting, the participants held a series of discussions in the format of a “round table”, where they discussed the reports of the competent authorities of Central Asian countries, INTERPOL, EUROPOL, and CARIC.
The final day of the workshop was devoted to the results of implementation of the next stage of the EU-UNDP Programme - BOMCA. Participants of the meeting discussed the progress and made appropriate recommendations.
