CARICC – IS A STANDING INTERGOVERNMENTAL BODY TO COORDINATE EFFORTS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST TRANSNATIONAL DRUG-RELATED CRIME

A Working Meeting of Mr. B. Zhunusov, CARICC Director with Mr. Franz Trautmann and Mr. Bob Keizer, CADAP-6 Representatives

On the 25th of January 2016, a meeting was held in CARICC with Mr. Franz Trautmann, Head of Component 1 “National Drug Enforcement Strategy” under the Program for the Prevention of Drug Spread  in Central Asia (CADAP-6), and Mr. Bob Keizer, International Expert.  

The parties noted the existence of common interests and capacities to work together, and highlighted some aspects of problem issues relating to the overall assessment of the drug situation in Central Asia.  Representatives of CADAP-6 shared European experience in combating drug trafficking, detecting and timely undertaking measures on non-proliferation of new drug interventions.  Following a meeting, the parties have agreed to organize a workshop of CADAP-6 and CARICC experts in the nearest future to discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation.
