Operational meeting on the use of customs data in risk profiling using information systems

On August 16-18, 2016, the International Narcotics Control Board in cooperation with the UNODC Regional Programme for Afghanistan and Neighboring Countries organized an operational meeting in the Vienna International Centre (VIC) on the use of customs data in risk profiling using information systems.

The meeting was attended by representatives of customs authorities of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Tajikistan. and CARICC.
The event was organized to assist in sharing experiences among customs and police authorities, as well as in practical use of PICS (Precursors Incident Communication System) to develop strategy and hold investigations in the field of precursor control, risk profiling related to the illicit trade of precursors
