CARICC – IS A STANDING INTERGOVERNMENTAL BODY TO COORDINATE EFFORTS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST TRANSNATIONAL DRUG-RELATED CRIME

EXPERT GROUP MEETING AS PART OF THE INITIATIVE OF AFGHANISTAN-KYGYZSTAN-TAJIKISTAN


On the 13-14th of October 2016, CARICC hosted an expert meeting of counter-narcotics agencies of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan within the framework of the Trilateral Initiative of Afghanistan-Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan (AKT), implemented by the UNODC Regional Programme for Afghanistan and Neighboring Countries.


This event was also attended by Mr. A.Fedulov, Head of the UNODC Office in the Kyrgyz Republic and CARICC staff.
The two parties exchanged information on the situation in the sphere of drug trafficking in the aforementioned countries, finalized the draft Memorandum on mutual cooperation between the AKT countries in the field of information exchange in real time mode and made recommendations to improve the information exchange.
