CARICC – IS A STANDING INTERGOVERNMENTAL BODY TO COORDINATE EFFORTS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST TRANSNATIONAL DRUG-RELATED CRIME

A seminar was held in CARICC facilities as part of Regional Project RER/F23

As part of the Regional Project RER/F23 “The law enforcement systems for the collection, analysis and operational information exchange in the fight against drugs”, the UNODC Office in Tajikistan in cooperation with CARICC and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) conducted a seminar from 24 to 28 October in CARICC facilities for analysts of law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The purpose of this seminar is to improve the use of analytical tools to enhance strategic cooperation and interaction among analytical and operational units/departments of law enforcement agencies. Experts delivered the following topics for the seminar’s attendees: “Existing sources of information”, “Making up analytical charts”, “Data acquisition and trends of drug trafficking in the world”, “ Analysis of information obtained from open sources”, and “Modern trends in the intelligence analysis”.
