During the period from 29 to 30 November 2016, as part of the Project TD/RER/F23 “The Law Enforcement Systems for the Collection, Analysis, and Intelligence Exchange, and any Other Information in the Fight Against Drugs” in conjunction with the Project TD/RER/H22 «Establishment of CARICC”, an expert meeting for analysts of law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan, Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan was held in CARICC facilities.
The purpose of the meeting was to assist in strengthening of cooperation/capacities of analytical units in uncovering crimes related to drug trafficking, as well as assistance in enhancing interaction among the analytical units of law enforcement bodies, as well as to evaluate capacities of training centers to conduct training courses in the area of intelligence and strategic analysis.
Priorities for improving the analytical work in member-states to this event have been discussed, and relevant recommendations have been developed.
